solutions for industrial processing.
Processing of almonds is similar to the processing of other types of nuts - it is calibrated, crack and the kernel is sorted. A sorted whole kernel has a higher value compared to a damaged one.
The specificity of almond processing lies in the difference in the shape of this type of nut. Walnuts and hazelnut have oval and round shapes and almonds have different shapes, so the processing equipment is slightly different.
A vibrating screen is used to calibrate almonds in the shell. It can be a vibrating screen with a capacity of 200 or 1000 kg/h. Almonds sorted by size are packaged and delivered to the customer or sent for splitting.
A drum-type nutcracker is used for the industrial cracking of almonds. It adjusts to a certain size of an almond and gives a high yield of the whole kernel - up to 90%. A drum-type nutcracker is effective for both thick- and thin-shelled almonds, as it has flexible settings.
Vibro sieves with aspiration are used to sort the cracked almonds. The equipment sorts the kernel by size - whole and damaged, and the aspiration system separates the shell.
The last stage of industrial processing is sorting and quality control of finished products at the inspection table. Workers select pieces of shell that were not sorted by the aspiration system, and the selected core will be sent for packaging.
